Description

Foundational information on traditional lifestyles and health practices of people living in Alaska prior to western contact. Introduction to beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge of health promotion and maintenance practiced, and examination of major changes leading to the current health status of the Alaska Native community. Special emphasis placed on potential strategies for improving behaviorally based health.

This training will be presented as an interactive videoconference using Zoom software, which must be downloaded if you are a first-time user. Training materials and information on how to connect to the interactive video conference will be emailed two days prior to the training. Payment must be processed before access is available.

Please include the name of your community during registration and every effort will be made to arrange a community location for training. Zoom can also be used on a PC or Mac, laptop, IPad, tablet or smart phone and requires an Internet connection, a microphone and a camera. *A camera is required to receive CE credit. *
To confirm your attendance and receive credit for taking the class you must be prepared to identify yourself and participate as requested during the training. You must be logged on and prepared with a camera and microphone (or a headset) prior to the start of class.

Payment in full must be received no later than three weeks prior to training date, in order to hold your place in the class. Payments are non-refundable after three weeks prior to training date. There will be an additional fee of $15.00 due for CE Certificate if fee or training Evaluation is not received within 30 calendar days.

This class has a minimum enrollment of 10, and may be subject to cancellation if there is insufficient enrollment three weeks prior to class date.
