Description

The Alaska Core Competencies are a set of essential skills for DSPs (direct support providers or direct support professionals) who deliver services to persons with mental health and substance use conditions, intellectual and physical disabilities, and older adults who need long-term services and support.



This training will cover Alaska Core Competency #2: Assessing Strengths and Needs
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Gathers and Summarizes Information
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Assists in Identifying Personal Values, Goals, and Priorities
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Identifies Strengths and Resources
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Identified Problems, Deficits, and Stressors
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Detects Warning Signs
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Communicates Results Clearly
• Assessing Strengths and Needs - Reassesses Routinely

There is a participant minimum paid registration requirement for this class. If this minimum is not met the class will be cancelled and participants will be notified. Registration closes February 15, 2019
