The training will review SAMHSA's changes in identification of evidence based practices, and issues currently active at SAMHSA regarding Tribal behavioral health opportunities. A review of how EBPs do and don’t provide ways to respond to Alaskan community needs and concerns will be presented. The training will explore alternative methods and strategies for identifying culturally informed best practices, as well as providing an update on the Alaska Native Collaborative Hub for Research and Resources.

This training will be presented as an interactive web conference using Zoom software. Zoom must be downloaded if you are a first-time user. The link to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed two days prior to the training date to those who complete registration and payment. Please watch for the email. Test Zoom on your computer prior to that time. Payment must be processed before access to the training is available. It is your responsibility to arrange for a computer that can access the Internet, use Zoom, and has a camera and microphone (or headset) available. For assistance in arranging for a location to attend the training include the name of your community during registration and every effort will be made to arrange a community location. Two weeks notice is needed for these arrangements. Zoom can be used on a PC or Mac, laptop, IPad, or tablet and requires an Internet connection, a microphone and a camera.
To confirm your attendance during the training and receive credit for attendance you must display your name (first name and first initial of your last name) as it appears in your LMS/registration profile. You must be logged on and prepared with a camera and microphone (or a headset) prior to the start of class. Download the Zoom software and log into the web conference at least 10-15 minutes before the training start time. A camera is required to verify attendance.

Training resources, including the training evaluation and link to the Zoom web conference will be emailed to all those who have completed registration and payment prior to the day of training.
TRAINING EVALUATION & CE CERTIFICATES
The training evaluation is due when the training is completed. There may be an additional fee of $15.00 due for your CE Certificate if your training evaluation is not received within 30 calendar days after the training event. CE Certificates will be distributed via your LMS Profile email address within two weeks after the class to participants who complete the class, have paid their account, and submitted their evaluation. Updated distribution of Certificates will happen once per month after.
