'Empowerment Through Employment’ will bring together employment specialists, IDD and behavioral health providers, advocates, employers and state agency staff to strengthen efforts to educate and employ Alaskans with disabilities and/or behavioral health disorders. The conference will have a mix of guest speakers, local subject matter experts and advocate and employer panels. This conference is free for all participants.
To realize the vision of “Empowerment through Employment” for Alaskans experiencing a range of disabilities, including mental illness, substance use/abuse disorders, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and traumatic brain injury. Conference content has been designed to appeal to a variety of clinical and community-based provider agency staff and leadership.
