Description

This training will take a critical look at the dominant western understanding of suicide and its prevention. Participants will be encouraged to question taken-for-granted assumptions and consider adopting alternative perspectives to understanding suicide.

WEB CONFERENCE INFORMATION
This training will be presented as an interactive web conference using Zoom software. Zoom must be downloaded if you are a first-time user. The link to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed two days prior to the training date to those who complete registration and payment. Please watch for the email. Payment must be processed before access to the training is available. Test Zoom on your computer prior to that time. It is your responsibility to arrange for a computer that can access the Internet, use Zoom, and has a camera and microphone (or headset) available. Zoom can be used on a PC or Mac, laptop, IPad, or tablet and requires an Internet connection, a microphone and a camera.

To confirm your attendance during the training and receive credit for attendance you must display your first and last name. You must be logged on and prepared with a camera and microphone (or a headset) prior to the start of class. Download the Zoom software and log into the web conference at least 10-15 minutes before the training start time. A camera is required to verify attendance.

TRAINING MATERIALS
Training resources, including the training evaluation and link to the Zoom web conference will be emailed to all those who have completed registration and payment prior to the day of training.

TRAINING EVALUATION & CE CERTIFICATES
The training evaluation is due when the training is completed. There may be an additional fee of $15.00 due for your CE Certificate if your training evaluation is not received within 30 calendar days after the training event. CE Certificates will be distributed via your LMS Profile email address within two weeks after the class to participants who complete the class, have paid their account, and submitted their evaluation. Updated distribution of Certificates will happen once per month after.
