Description

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is looking for new Friendships & Dating Program (FDP) facilitators. The FDP teaches young adults (ages 16 and older) and adults with I/DD how to make and keep healthy relationships and prevent violence in their relationships.



During this training, you will learn:
- How to recruit participants
- How to communicate course content to participant support networks
- Detailed information on all 20 course sessions
- Introduction to the Friendships & Dating Program website and supporting materials
- Research training to support the pre- and post-knowledge assessment

Interested facilitators who participate in the Friendships & Dating Program training will be asked to:
- Identify at least two facilitators who will co-facilitate the program together
- Attend the full training
- Facilitate the program within your community or agency within one year of training
- Assist with data collection via a pre- and post-knowledge assessment
