The Center for Human Development (CHD) is looking for new Friendships & Dating Program (FDP) facilitators. The FDP teaches young adults (ages 16 and older) and adults with I/DD how to make and keep healthy relationships and prevent violence in their relationships.
During this training, you will learn:
-Objectives and guiding principles of the Friendships & Dating Program
-How to recruit participants
-How to communicate course content to participant support networks
-Detailed information on all 20 course sessions
-Introduction to the Friendships & Dating Program website and supporting materials
Interested facilitators who participate in the Friendships & Dating Program training will be asked to:
-Identify at least two facilitators who will co-facilitate the program together
-Attend the full training
-Facilitate the program within your community or agency within one year of training
-Provide the UAA Center for Human Development with annual information regarding the number of groups and participants (no identifying information about participants will be requested)
