Description: Our health care system is complex and health information is not always clear. Most of us have been in situations where there is difficulty understanding and navigating the health care system. There are tools available that can help everyone involved overcome these challenges and work together to improve health outcomes for all.
Our keynote speaker is Cliff Coleman, M.D., M.P.H., is recognized as a national expert in the field of health literacy. He is a practicing physician and faculty member at the Oregon Health & Science University (OSHU) School of Medicine. His clinical concentration is in serving medically complex patients and underserved populations. His research and teaching focuses on improving health literacy and clear communication training for healthcare professionals. The break-out sessions will equip participants with practical how-to strategies to improve communication and health outcomes.
Please see the event flyer under "Media" below for more information about the agenda and breakout sessions.
