Training Overview Description

"Havening Techniques engages our inherent biological system to permanently heal, strengthen and empower our minds and bodies."

Ronald A. Ruden M.D., Ph.D

The Havening Techniques® have been developed by the Ronald A. Ruden M.D., Ph.D. and along with his brother Steven J. Ruden, D.D.S., ICF/ACC.

The Havening Techniques are powerful tools that can be used to alleviate the consequences of traumatic or stressful events.

Havening or Delta Techniques™ is a method which is designed to change the brain to de-traumatize the memory and remove its negative effects from both our psyche and body.

These techniques have been developed and refined over the last fifteen years.

The first official training occurred May 2013 in the UK. Now we have grown and spread to all corners of the world.

Event-specific Details

We are excited to announce our 3rd Havening Training here in Anchorage!

Join Dr Ronald A. Ruden, M.D., Ph.D., developer of the Havening Techniques®, in our 3rd Havening training here in Anchorage on May 18th and 19th, 2019. We are inviting anyone who wants to learn this powerful new Havening technique.

Havening is a technique that treats encoded traumas by disconnecting the memory from re-experiencing symptoms, through a process called depotentiation. This is accomplished through using the Havening Touch which creates delta waves in the brain. The delta waves facilitate a neurochemical process that creates the enzyme that removes the AMPA receptors from the neurons holding the trauma in the amygdala.

The Havening Techniques®, utilizing current neuroscience, can help with many issues, including distressing memories, trauma, fear and pain. Havening, a psycho-sensory technique, uses the sensory input of touch, imagination, and attention to create lasting change.

During these two days, participants will receive one-on-one instruction by seasoned practitioners on how to apply this technique. This program is designed for nurses, psychologists, licensed mental health care workers, first responders, educators, coaches and many other professionals.

The Havening technique is very complimentary with EMDR Therapy and/or Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
