According to the scholar Ibram X. Kendi, one is either racist or anti-racist, there is no "not racist." As health care practitioners, we pride ourselves on our ability to show up daily for the mental, physical, and spiritual healing of our clients and patients. But are the institutions and contexts within which we work racist? This training will explore the relationship between the colonization of indigenous people with the concept of race and how these structures can undermine the ethics we strive for as health care practitioners.
Training Materials – Training Evaluation – Certificate of Completion. All participants are required to access the AKTC/CHD e-Learning Portal, https://ttclms.remote-learner.net, in order to review training materials prior to the training. After the training, use the Portal to complete the training evaluation and print the Certificate of Completion. Log in with the same username (username or email address) and password used to register for the training. Access to the e-Learning Portal is allowed within 15 minutes after registration and payment have been completed.

Web-Conference Information. This training will be delivered as a live, interactive web-conference using Zoom. You must prepare for the webinar prior to the day of the training. Web-conference connection information is available in the AKTC/CHD e-Learning Portal after your registration and payment are processed. You must be logged into Zoom and prepared with a camera and microphone (or a headset) prior to the start of training. You may connect by phone if necessary, but you must be able to participate verbally when requested. See further instructions in the AKTC e-Learning Portal.
Please plan to log into the Zoom web-conference 15-20 minutes before the training start time.
Continuing Education Credits. In order to receive CEs and receive credit for taking the training, you must be prepared to identify yourself and participate as requested during the entire training.
Using Zoom. Zoom can be used on a PC or Mac, laptop, IPad, tablet or smart phone and requires an Internet connection, a microphone and a camera (most devices have a built-in mic and camera).

AKTC Refund Policy: To receive a full refund of the registration fee a cancellation notice must be given two working days (48 hours) prior to the training, conference or event. Please contact the Training Coordinator for special circumstances.
Continuing Education Credits. In order to receive CEs and receive credit for taking the training, you must be visible on camera throughout the training and must be prepared to identify yourself and participate as requested, and must submit the completed training evaluation. CE Certificates will be processed and sent via the email address that is in your AKTC user profile after the training is completed.
