This presentation reviews a model of comprehensive care for people with co-occurring disorders. This model is based on evidence-based practices, specifically referring to the integrated dual disorders treatment, applied and enhanced to address multiple aspects of care. We will present the model of one-team providing care for substance use disorders and mental illness, in an internal and external collaborative manner, with a tiered approach, based on utilization of the Stages of Change, to engage participants in their own recovery. We will also share third party validated outcomes is proving the effectiveness of these approaches in long-term recovery for adults with dual-diagnosis disorders (Serious and Persistent Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorders).
