Training Overview Description

This second level workshop is for those who have already taken the Basic workshop. This workshop focuses on the underlying causes of violence in and outside ourselves. In addition, the workshop will focus on the role and part we play in being peacemakers in the world. In this Advanced training workshop, the content and experiential learning exercises will continue to explore skills of communication, conflict resolution, cooperation and affirmation. We will further explore stereotyping, anger, relationships, fear, and forgiveness. This training will be facilitated by Karen Cauble from Homer, Alaska ,who began with the AVP program in 1976. This workshop is required for all who choose to be trained as an AVP Facilitator.
