Culture influences every aspect of life and defines who we are as humans. Culture is learned and shared knowledge about our way of life and included our values, norms, morals, beliefs, practices, customs, ceremonies, rituals, language and more. This webinar series will take an in-depth look at culture and language, its multiple dimensions, and the essential role it plays in the system of services and supports for individuals with developmental and other disabilities and their families.
Limited consultation assistance is available for Alaskan DD (intellectual and developmental disability) agencies on a first come, first serve basis. To inquire about requirements or availability, contact Karen Ward at karenw@alaskachd.org.
