This training will bridge the gap between the mental health and developmental disability fields by reviewing the unique ways that mental health disorders present in the ID/DD population through both didactic presentation and discussion of a complex case. Participants should come away with tools for identifying mental health disorders in this population as well as strategies for referral and treatment.
Training Materials & Training Evaluation. Training materials will be sent out to all participants who have a paid registered via email prior to the training date. Evaluation links will be sent out to participants in the last 10 minutes of the training.
Training Delivery - Web-Conference Information. This training will be delivered both in person (in Anchorage) and as a live, interactive web-conference using Zoom.
Continuing Education Credits. In order to receive CEs you must be prepared to identify yourself and participate as requested during the training. You must be present for the entire training and submit a training evaluation. If attending remotely you must be on screen throughout the training and must complete and submit a training evaluation.
Using Zoom. Zoom can be used on a PC or Mac, laptop, iPad, tablet or smart phone and requires an Internet connection, a microphone and a camera (most devices have a built-in mic and camera). For more information about Zoom or to download the software, go to https://zoom.us.
