Training Overview Description

As children learn, play, speak, act, and move, how they grow can be compared to what is considered typical for that stage of development. The child and family’s cultural background must be carefully considered when assessing developmental milestones and developing interventions, as there are culture-based variations in children’s development. Through presentation, family panel, and case study discussion, this training will explore ways to be culturally responsive while meeting the needs of the families and children we serve.
