Participants will learn about Alaska’s regional, place-based traditional Alaska Native health and wellness activities and how to incorporate these activities into the service planning process using the Strengthening Families™ framework to enhance family resiliency and safety. The training will reference the ground breaking and highly effective "Cultural Resources for Alaska Families: Traditional Health & Wellness Guide." Originally developed in collaboration between Alaska Native Traditional Healers and the Office of Childrens' Services, this resource guide is open for use by any programs and partners who may benefit from its content. This training will be valuable for any person working with Alaska Native families, and will offer many strategies to engage and support families healing from trauma. The training is applicable to a variety of clinical settings invested in supporting domestic wellness and safety.
THIS TRAINING IS BEING OFFERED ONLINE THROUGH ZOOM ONLY.
Training Materials & Training Evaluation. All participants are required to access the AKTC e-Learning Portal, https://ttclms.remote-learner.net, in order to review training materials prior to the training. After the training, use the e-Learning Portal to complete the training evaluation which is required for CEs. Log in with the same username (username or email address) and password used to register for the training. Please allow 15 minutes for the system to update payment information before accessing the e-Learning Portal.

Web-Conference Information. This training will be delivered as a web-conference using Zoom. You must prepare for the webinar prior to the day of the training. You must be logged into Zoom and prepared with a camera and microphone (or a headset) prior to the start of training.
Continuing Education Credits. In order to receive CEs you must be prepared to identify yourself and participate as requested during the training. You must be present and on screen throughout the training and must complete and submit a training evaluation.
Using Zoom. Zoom can be used on a PC or Mac, laptop, IPad, tablet or smart phone and requires an Internet connection, a microphone and a camera (most devices have a built-in mic and camera). For more information about Zoom or to download the software, go to https://zoom.us.
