The Frontline Leadership Institute is an intensive leadership program designed to build skills and competency for current and future supervisors of Frontline staff. The training is to help newly promoted supervisors in the following service areas: mental illness, developmental disabilities, chronic substance abuse, traumatic brain injury, and Alzheimer's Disease and other age-related dementia. The Institute consists of 24 hours of training plus three post-Institute web conferences. Please see below for dates and times.
The Leadership Institute helps build skill and competency for your organization’s mission, your professional and personal values, learning and training styles, leadership skills, leading and building teams, conflict and resolution, communication, participatory management and supervision, staff recruitment and retention, strength-based staff assessment, staff recognition and motivation strategies and includes the opportunity to network with other Frontline Supervisors from across the State of Alaska sharing their experiences, their challenges and the truly amazing work which they accomplish.
Gain knowledge, best practice and skills to be competent leaders and supervisors. Homework during the Institute and three follow-up audio conferences with assignments that challenge the participant to use real life, on-the-job scenarios are required to complete the Leadership Institute experience.

Frontline Leadership Institute participation is by an application process. Participants must have the support and recommendation of their supervisors to insure successful completion. Selection is made by a review team and those participants selected are notified of their acceptance. Announcement of the next application period is announced by flyer through the Alaska Training Cooperative. Frontline Leadership Institute is being offered in a VIRTUAL Web delivered training.
Currently there are two Institutes scheduled each fiscal year - typically held in the fall and spring. Attending Frontline Leadership Institute is done by an application and selection process. The Institute consists of 24 hours of training plus three mandatory post Institute webinars with assignments - all required for successful completion.
