This course will provide the foundational and practice concepts of CRA which is a broad-based behavioral treatment approach for substance use disorders. CRA blends the operant model of conditioning with the social systems approach. Participants will learn to utilize social, recreational, familial, and vocational reinforcers to aid clients in the recovery process. Participants will also learn how to complete a CRA functional analysis, looking at clients' environmental reinforcers that encourage or discourage substance use and how to rearrange these reinforcers so that non-use behavior is more rewarding than use behavior.
