Training Overview Description

Learn about the ABLE Act (Achieving a Better Life Experience) in Alaska. This training will provide information on the ALASKAble Plan, which is Alaska's ABLE program.

The training review:

  • The plan highlights
  • Who is eligible
  • How to maintain your benefits including how much can be deposited into an ABLE account
  • Recommended documentation
  • Qualified disability expenses
  • Overview of the website including where to find the Plan Disclosure Document
  • How to open an account online, and other frequently asked questions

Beneficiaries receiving public benefits with a resource restriction will find the ABLE Plan an invaluable tool in managing their benefits especially as they return to work. This training is intended for care providers, employment specialists, CWICs, and Financial and Work Incentive Navigators.

This training will meet the DVR requirement for State Specific training for CWICs.
