Training Overview Description

Kim Champney, with Champney Consulting, has spent the past five years working closely with stakeholders across Alaska supporting the Shared Vision movement. She has over 20 years of experience in services to people with disabilities.

Kimberly Adkison has many years of experience as a care coordinator and is currently the program director of Care Coordination Resource of Alaska, a program of Alzheimer’s Resource of Alaska. Her experiences with people, providers and care coordinators in various regions of Alaska inform this interactive workshop.

Training Information:
Care coordinators and other service providers often encounter barriers to people living the life they choose with the support they direct. How can care coordinators support individuals with
successfully navigating those barriers?

While there are no simple fixes, Kim and Kimberly will provide some guiding principles and real-life examples, as well as an opportunity for discussion with colleagues.
