Training Overview Description

This training is for Alaskan Supervisors of Peer Support Specialists who have completed Essential Peer Support Supervision Training OR who can demonstrate that they have the foundational skills through experience or other training.

This community practice is for you

  • if you have foundational learning and/or experience in Peer Support Supervision
  • if you have positive experiences to share
  • if you have ongoing questions and dilemmas
  • if you want to network with folks providing peer support supervision

We support Alaskan Peer Support Specialists and Recovery Coaches to become effective, inspired professionals dedicated to creating a holistic, trauma-informed behavioral health care system. We hold a realistic expectation of full recovery for individuals and families needing attention and care.

We support individuals and families to band together to learn how to care for themselves and each other, in all sides of life: nourishing food, healthy home, nurturing companionship, positive community, and an active connection with ones’ deeper sense of meaning and purpose.

Emotional healing and mental calm, physical resilience, ecological and social justice are intertwined, interconnected journeys. Ionia’s Natural Path hopes to address all of these connected aspects of healing, for stronger, more flexible and joyful individuals and more connected and resilient communities in Alaska.
