Training Overview Description

This registration is to provide access to the materials and recorded presentations from the Supportive Housing Training Series and for the Supportive Housing Summit. The four live sessions completed in February 2022 and the Summit in March.

Alaska’s housing and homeless services partners have identified a need to increase housing options for people who have experienced housing disruptions.

The Alaska Mental Health Trust, United Way of Anchorage and many other state and community leaders have worked together on housing programs and promotion of Permanent Supportive Housing over the years. The need remains great in this area and projects often take intentional coordination and facilitation to ensure viability. This introductory webinar series is providing information on key elements of developing and operating supportive housing with the goal of coming together in the spring of 2022 to solidify interested parties who are willing to work on supported housing programs across the state. The Summit will build upon what was learned from the introductory Series. The goal for the summit is to brainstorm ways to increase the number of supportive housing units and pair agencies ready to plan or act with the resources they need to take next steps.
