Training Overview Description

This training is designed for new care coordinators who are not yet certified. This course is required prior to taking Care Coordination Core Units offered by Senior and Disability Services.

This five-hour course is designed to be interactive and provide attendees the opportunity to participate in discussions. Topics include Ethics, How to Serve Someone with a Disability, Skills of Interaction, Advocacy, and Person Centered Planning.

This training is offered online through Zoom only. There is no in-person site available.

Training Materials, Zoom Link, Training Evaluation, and Completion Certificate. All participants are encouraged to access the CHD/AKTC e-Learning Portal,, in order to review training materials prior to the training. Please review and/or print the State of Alaska, Care Coordination Services Conditions of Participation and the handout Identifying Core Values. These handouts will be discussed during the training. All other handouts and resources can be saved/printed if desired.

The e-Learning Portal is only available after completing your registration and payment. Please allow 15 minutes for the system to update payment information before accessing the e-Learning Portal. Use the same username and password used to register for the training to log into the Portal:
