Transforming our Communities: Sharing Innovations to Reduce Harms for People Who Use Drugs

Day One, June 7, 7:30am - 11:00pm (AK Time)

Statewide gathering to hear from people with lived experience about barriers and successes in accessing compassionate and effective services, hear about responses to the 2021 statewide syringe services programs survey, discuss how to inform and direct policy, and identify innovations and opportunities for transformations.

Day Two, June 8, 7:30am - 11:00pm (AK time)

Tracks:

· Adolescents and young adults - substance use disorder/opioid use disorder

· Coalition building to impact/direct/inform policy

· Preliminary findings from the distribution of safer smoking supplies

Reconvene to hear highlights from day two tracks, document challenges, innovations, transformations, improving how we work with and serve people who use drugs.

Who Should Attend:

Anyone in Washington State who uses drugs, has family members and loved ones who use drugs, serves people who use drugs, serves people seeking and/or receiving treatment and other services for drug use, etc. Examples of individuals and organizations to participate include:
